Unlike many other similar tools I've tested, DamnVid makes it incredibly easy to download and convert online videos from the web. The program supports all popular video websites such as Blip.tv, CollegeHumor, DailyMotion, GameTrailers, Metacafe, Vimeo and YouTube, among others. In fact, each of them is a standalone module that can be configured, updated or installed to your liking.
Downloading videos with DamnVid is as simple as browsing your favorite video website and copying the URL of your favorite videos. DamnVid monitors the clipboard and automatically adds all the addresses to the download list. When you're done, hit the Let's go! button and let the program do the rest.
DamnVid will start downloading videos and converting them to the selected format simultaneously, thus saving a significant amount of time. After a few minutes, all the videos will be stored in your hard drive, ready for you to watch!
That said, don't take DamnVid for what it's not. As the developer states on the official website, DamnVid is not a video player or video editor. It just downloads and converts videos, but does a excellent job.
