SpeedUpMyPC is a 'Uniblue' system tool designed to optimize your PC in order to increase its performance and keep it stable and error safe. SpeedUpMyPC lets you  monitor and control all your PC resources with easy, one click instructions. System settings, internet usage, disk clutter, RAM and CPU are all automatically scanned, cleaned and optimized for peak performance. You can also selectively disable or remove unnecessary background and auto-start processes to cut valuable seconds off your startup time.

With SpeedUpMyPC, it?s as though you have a full time technician working flat out just for you, helping you to make the best use of all that processing power that you have already bought.

First of all, I have to mention that fact that this piece of software has an appealing graphical interface. It's tabbed and very intuitive. Once you start the program, you may see that the program will display your computer's optimization level: it may be either high or low. In case it's low, you can optimize and clean it up using the program's features. 

All operations can either be automatized or completed manually. You can choose to manage yourself every optimization and cleaning operation or you can simply select choose to fix all problems with a single click. 

When it comes to optimization, you can optimize the memory, CPU, and Internet connection. You can also monitor the disk load and I/O efficiency. There is a section where you can manage startup items, but the disabled items were not visible. 

SpeedUpMyPC 3 tested for spyware and adware modules. The software is absolutely safe to install.Downloading SpeedUpMyPC 3 will take minute if you use fast ADSL connection.

As for cleaning your system, here you have several options for cleaning junk files and browsing tracks for enforcing your privacy. You can get rid of junk files, temporary files, lost clusters, dump files and so on. The 'Privacy Protector' would delete all the temporary files stored by Windows, Internet Explorer and Mozilla Firefox web browsers. Unfortunately, I couldn't find an option for adding other browsers' temp folders. 

If you are very concerned about wiping out data, you can use the 'File Shredder'. This option will erase your files and folders beyond recovery. Another tool used to free space is the 'Uninstall Manager'. You can use it to uninstall programs as well as Windows updates. 

After running the software for a few days we can't honestly say we experienced any massive increases in speed, but in the field of optimisation you rarely do. What we can say is that we didn't notice any ill effects, and things did generally appear to be running a tad more smoothly than usual. We did find the software very easy to use, making it great for beginners, but this level of automation also contributed towards the few negative issues we have.

Pluses:

•  Optimize your internet connection settings for improved bandwidth, faster browsing and quicker downloads.
  

Drawbacks / flaws: It only deletes temporary data from IE and Mozilla. Your computer will slow down dramatically during the optimization process. 

In conclusion: This appears to be a very effective PC optimization tool and privacy guard.
